— By Katie — The mammoth – and some would argue ‘endless’ – job to paint the Forth Bridge has reportedly been completed this week. After a ten year project, Network Rail has confirmed that the 1.5 mile-long Scottish structure has been fully painted in a hardwearing coating that is hoped to last 25 years. It has been said that numerous challenges arose throughout the exercise, but 214,000 litres of paint later, this monumental task has been fulfilled.
So what can we all learn from this, apart from “don’t always believe the myths you hear”?
Well, the completion of the Forth Bridge project shows that things can’t always happen overnight but with agreed objectives, a bit of patience and very hard work, you can achieve great successes.
